Went to Botanic Garden in Singapore..
I was such a big area..
In the hustle-bustle city, never thought of having such a garden over there..
And you can see families and teen picnic over there..
Yeah.. Teens.. And I thought they would just shopping in Singapore.. =)

At first this blog suppose to be the chronicle of my Nikon D3000...
However, due to lack of time, I'm way behind the schedule.. =)
So, I think I should update the latest picture now..
Follow by the old one next time..
Cause now I should upload Christmas pictures! Haha..

It was a rainy day...

To spice up alittle.. So i edit a little bit the picture..
Just changed the color tone and stuff.. nothing much..
Don't know if it's better or not..
But for me, it's kinda looks nicer with the blue sky.. =)

Flowers : Part 2

Here comes the second part of flowers!

Lol.. I think that flower is easier to capture than human faces..
It's just too hard to capture human's face with right exposure and composition..
I'm saying RIGHT..
Mean I'm just aiming for normal pictures..
Not some picture that has the "WOW" effect..

Starting to realize that exposure is a very hard thing to control..
From the small LCD display on the D3000 is not enough to get the correct exposure..
You gotta open with computer to see the true picture..
Something I have to learn for a very long time indeed..

Since my friend say can't really see a flower bud, I guess this clearly is a flower bud already.. =)



Don't know what it is called.. Maybe peacock tail flower?? No idea..
Don't have any special with it, just wanna add more picture inside.. xD



Still can't get nice exposure.. I wonder how many picture I gotta take.. =.=

Flowers : Part 1

Next test shots are taken from my girlfriend's house..

Saw some pretty flower around her house and decided to take some of it..

Actually, I took quite a lot of pictures of FLOWERS!

But only some are post-able into this blog..

Think about the quality of those picture that I never post up when you see the following pictures!

Not the best shots but Not the worst too.. IMHO la.. xD

Both the pictures kind of underexposed.. Still learning how to adjust.. Please bear with it.. =)


Little out of focus.. I think it's because I was using manual focus.. Just for Fun..


Can't get bokeh effect due to using only kitlens.. I hope i can bring out some details of the flower.. Still underexposed..


A new flower bud emerges from the water surface..


I like this picture because it looks so unreal! Like the water and the leaf structures.. =)


That's all for now.. Try filter some more better picture for the next post..
But I think those might be the best I have already..

~Tilt-Shift Photography~

"Tilt-shift photography" refers to the use of camera movements on small- and medium-format cameras, and sometimes specifically refers to the use of tilt for selective focus, often for simulating a miniature scene.

That's the meaning i quote from Wikipedia(best source for something you don't know)
Using the tilt-shift technique, we can produce two nice effects!

It's selective focus and miniature faking.

In short, selective focus is to direct someone's attention

to a specific part of your picture.

The train will look sharper when the surrounding is blurred.

For miniature faking is to create a small image from a very large picture.

Everything seem so fake in this picture as if the cars are made out plastic..
